Now you can buy a drone with a flamethrower to destroy your enemies

Are you ready to take your drone game to the next level and possibly get your name put on a federal government watch list? Well, you’re in luck. Now you can buy a flamethrower to attach to your drone, so you can not only be the annoying drone dude, but you can also set people’s houses on fire when they complain about you.

The TF-19 WASP, made by the company Throwflame, is an attachment for your drone that changes it from a moderate annoyance to a potential weapon of mass destruction, and I gotta be honest, it’s pretty goddamn cool.

(As of this writing, it appears that Throwflame’s website itself is actually down, putatively due to getting slammed by more traffic than they ever imagined.)

The attachment will run you about $1500, and is designed to fit into the payload area of any drone that can lift 5 pounds or more. In the video below, Throwflame demonstrated the flamethrower attached to a DJI S1000, which means it’ll set you back about $3000 for the privilege of burning down anything that has the audacity to exist in your immediate vicinity (plus the cost of fuel).

Of course, despite having an awesome first person shooter-style mode, this product isn’t designed for the average person who just wants a cool toy to play with.

Throwflame says that the attachment is useful for clearing debris from power lines, destroying the nests of anything that tries to exist, forest fire prevention/management, and remote agriculture burns.

Yeah, okay. Right. That’s totally what I would use it for.
