Watch this good kitty have the time of its life interrupting a soccer match

If you’ve been following me for any period of time, then you’re undoubtedly aware of my fondness for felines. After all, I made Skeptical Kitten, a page dedicated to cats, and help run Cats in Space Quoting Scientists, a page dedicated to ridiculous memes of cats in space with a quote from a scientist on it. It’s even important enough for me to include in my Twitter bio.

While most of us here in the United States are focused on the game today between the Rams and a pack of cheaters, there was another game yesterday that was, in my opinion, infinitely more entertaining than anything happening later today.

At a match between two professional English football teams (or if you are in god’s chosen country, soccer) yesterday was briefly interrupted by the most adorable of things: a cute black kitty who was either terrified, having the time of its life, or maybe a little bit of both?

How it got there is unknown at this point, but I anticipate a full and complete investigation by the authorities into this.

Reactions

The internet wasted no time responding appropriately to this situation:

Yes, the real MVP.

No lies detected.

An instant fan favorite, because all cats are the best cats.

Some questioned how the cat got there in the first place.

I’ll admit is the most plausible scenario. But that would be incredibly irresponsible as a pet owner, so I’m hopeful it’s not the case.

I’m on the record as saying black cats are the best cats. After all, the best cat in the entire multiverse – my cat Jack, Esq. – is black.

Just look at him helping me write this article! He’s the best helper.

He’s not our only cat though. We have a total of four.

They are multi-talented, too:

Thank you for looking at my cats.

And for the record, I never *don’t* want to get Twitter notifications that show pictures of your cats. So, you know, add them here.
